MoCCA 2005
Ok. Time for a new post. Yay, New York. It was hot and humid, very much like I left Texas. So no change there.
Thanks to Dalton for hanging with me all weekend. Big thanks to Dave and Raina for putting up with us for a long weekend.
I'll be brief and just post a bunch of pictures per usual (sorry if I screw up names or just screw up in general. I'm posting from work and I am stupid). My plane got into LaGuardia after lunch on Thursday, then I did some bus riding and walking. After that there was sushi with Raina. A quick dash through Times Square. A visit to Dave's work where I picked up my books to sell at the show. Finally we went to a belated birthday dinner for them.
Mmm. Pizza.

Dave at home on Friday. I think he's about to head in to work.
Raina trying to get some inking done.
Dalton finally got in sometime in the afternoon then John took me and Dalton to the Maurice Sendak exhibit.
Then we walked around Central Park.
Then we went to the Natural History Museum for some Dinosaurs.
Also the Giant Whale room.
Awesome.

Some kinda flying bat monster. His face was cool.

Benjamin eating some pasta on Friday night. Some of my "dark" photos turned out kinda crappy.
I forgot to set up my manual camera settings. Auto is not your friend.
The flash is a last resort. I'm pretty sure everyone is commenting on the exhibitionist across the way.
Raina did a good getting everyone together. The food was very good at all the places she picked for us to eat.

Everyone is full. Now to go sleep it off for the big day.
Saturday at MoCCA. It was hot and humid indoors too.

Robin and MK. Yay Catfight!
Kate and Justin. Just Mad. Though they look happy or scared.

Our hosts went to the Harvey awards so John and Marion were very kind enough to entertain us while that was going on. To escape the rain we ducked into Papaya King. Hotdogs are made out of beef.
Then we went to the market for beer and popcorn.
Black popcorn that pops snow white. We got kettle corn instead. We then crashed out on their couch for a few hours watching tv before heading back to Dave and Raina's.
Getting ready Sunday morning.
Walking to the subway.

Our table on Sunday. I only had a few copies of Punish the Dead left on Sunday morning, I was out of them and most of my other stuff by the end.
